59.YesBlack TernAfter four black terns in a group were called out by others on the dune crossover platform, one of our team members spotted a small, black, tern-like bird flying in off the ocean. It had a very buoyant flight pattern and the contrast of the bird against the clouds confirmed that this tern was all-black and did not appear black as a result of lighting. Our bird was confirmed as black tern by many other more experienced birders on the platformMove to rejectedMore details

116.Mourning WarblerWhile driving along Narrows Rd. with our windows rolled down listening for stuff, one of our team members heard what they thought to be a Kentucky Warbler and we stopped the car. However upon hearing the song a second time, we realized that the song was more rolling than Kentucky and ended in a down slur. The song was recorded and the group unanimously agreed that it was the song of a Mourning Warbler. It was very close to the road.
